⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My family and I had lunch at Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and WOW… this buffet did not come here to play. Literally the best buffet I’ve been to so far. Most of the dishes were actually so yummy, and they have a bunch of unique stuff too. The seafood section was stacked, the lamb skewers were insane, and everything tasted way better than I expected for a buffet. Even the bathroom was super clean and high-tech?? Like okayyyy fancy. They’ve got sushi, Chinese dishes, seafood, dim sum, and a whole dessert bar that low-key made my day. For the price and the amount of food you can demolish… 10/10 worth it. If you love food or just want a solid family lunch spot where everyone ends up full and happy, this is the place. Highly recommend! ~ Cheska S
I took a friend out to lunch for his birthday and we both were impressed. The variety of offerings was amazing and was super fresh and flavorful. The kung pao chicken had lots of sichuan peppercorn which is good but unusual. Most places are too light on the mala flavor and put big chunks of onion and bell pepper in. Real kung pao has chicken, hot pepper, sichuan pepper, scallions, and peanuts. The only peculiar thing was the chicken was breaded and kind of dry. There was no sauce with that Zhenjiang vinegar flavor that lends subtle sweetness that kung pao should have. I tried a number of other selections but I don't have space to describe them all. And I have to return since I only scratched the surface of their offerings. ~ Stephen G
Honestly I like this buffet! I’ve gone thereb3 times and i love it everytime! I do wish they make different flavor lobsters instead of same ginger scallion all the time. They have many options for everyone. One thing I have to point out, hopefully the manager sees this message and change. I’m very concern about the butter. It is in a crockpot, which kees it warm but the spoon uae should not be plastic!! The spoon is placed in that crockpot all day.. I can only imagine the amount of plastics seeping into the butter. That is why I do salt, pepper and lemon for my dipping sauce for my crab legs! Those are good though! Not salty at all and very juicy. Other than that… all is good!! 👍 ~ Lan L
I liked it. And I was with a party of about 21 people this past Sunday. All of us pretty picky folks when it comes to food quality and value. I score the place 5 of 5. I didn’t hear one complaint from the group. It was fresh. Surprisingly, the dim sum BBQ bun fillings definitely was better than any other dim sum in DFW or in Taiwan, same goes with the braised chicken feet. Yea, it seems other restaurants like to use previous night’s meat for fillings and pretend customers don’t taste the difference. So kudos to this place. I also was surprised at the coconut shrimps, taste high end like in Chinese wedding banquets. Lobsters and crabs were very good too! Not sure why other reviews didn’t think so. Yea, too many other tasty foods to mention. I’m a big fan of Asian Buffet and King on 75. But if you like more seafood, lobster, crabs legs, oysters, its good value for the money. ~ Dave L
I'd been wanting to check this place out with my wife ad was very pleased to have a great experience here. The main dishes are Chinese centered which really gives you an opportunity to try authentic Chinese dishes and their seasonings. The dishes were very good but the main star options were the seafood. They have fresh tasting snow crab and stone crab as well as nigiris and sushi rolls. My wife and I really enjoyed the snow crab and sushi rolls and was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of them. It doesn't have that fishy taste you would find at other buffets. They even have pizza and small American classics for the kids or more selective eaters. ~ Richard
Incredibly impressive variety - even picky eaters can have some of the American staples like fries and pizza (and they're actually good, unlike most buffets). More adventurous diners will love the quality of more complex dishes, including some traditional and rare options. The seafood and sushi absolutely can't be missed - the sushi in particular is just as good as pretty much any local sushi restaurant. They just do good food and do it well. The atmosphere is incredibly modern, bright, and happy. The staff is attentive and couldn't possibly be any more kind. I mean this in the kindest way, but this restaurant is a SERIOUS threat to my New Year's resolutions! ~ Dan P
First time visiting Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon in Richardson. We came specifically for items like the lobster with ginger & green onion, frog legs, and other seafood dishes; all were well prepared and flavorful The variety is impressive; plenty of seafood options along with sushi and sashimi to choose from. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. It’s also very good value for the price considering the selection and quality. A bonus is that they only serve durian on the weekends; otherwise I might have gone into a full food coma. The dessert cakes were delicious as well and a nice way to end the meal. ~ Andre S
Excellent buffet and selection. We came on Sunday for lunch, and we were seated right away. This buffet seems to make smaller batches of food compared to similar buffets we have been to. This leads to fresher food, but I can see how food could run out quicker than they can bring out new batches during very busy times. During our visit, we didn’t have any issues with food running out. They have a nice selection of sushi and rolls, and both the rice and fish were fresh. The oysters were good, but they could have done a better job with shucking them (there was sand/rocks in the oysters). It would have also been nice if they had Tabasco. We didn’t have the snow crab legs, but they appeared to be of decent quality. We loved the lobster and skewers they had, and their Szechuan dishes were delicious. The cheesecake was excellent as well. Overall, for a bit under $50 with tax and tip, we were very happy with our visit. ~ Elliot Y
Great fresh buffet with excellent service!! The decor was cool, modern with lines moving orderly and quick. Sushi was limited but good quality especially the spicy tuna. Chicken feet were perfectly cooked, went back for seconds. Squid rings & tentacles were prepared correctly, tender not gummy! Small clams in spicy red bean sauce was fantastic. Pig trotters & dry fried spiced intestine??? What buffet did u ever see that on??? Prep on both was great! Lots of fried stuff I tend to avoid, fried shrimp & catfish a touch rubbery, but that's how buffets go. If I lived here I'd come weekly, give it a shot you'll love it! Staff, u did awesome!!! ~ Lauriano D
Decided to give this place a shot after a few recommendations from friends. You can expect to see a variety of dishes from authentic Chinese dishes to fresh seafood. They have a few stir fried options and steamed fish that is good for people who really like the spicy taste. Theres a lot of bold flavors that come with a slight kick that was really tasty. They also had a few seafood options such as stone crab and snow crab. They were very fresh and slightly sweet which is what you look for in crabs. They also had their own little ramen bar that lets you assemble your own bowl of either ramen or udon and a wide variety of meats you can pair with it. I also saw they had a hibachi station which my wife tried and it was really juicy as well. They dont overcook it and season it really well with some white pepper and soy sauce. You can choose what you want in it and they will cook it to perfection. ~ Steven H
One of the best buffets I've ever been to, hands down. I find that a key requirement of a good restaurant is a good atmosphere, and this buffet surpasses that requirement. The interior design is absolutely beautiful, and the restaurant is spacious as well, contributing to a comfortable yet classy atmosphere. The bathrooms are AMAZING. The buffet as a whole is extremely clean overall. Great variety. Ranging from sushi to oysters to marinated shrimp to udon to hibachi and more, the selections were extremely satisfying. Drinks included as well! The servers were friendly. The buffet also includes many stations not included in other buffets I've frequented. The buffet also strays from the norm in that its ice cream machine, instead of serving the standard vanilla and chocolate. Great variety, good dishes, great atmosphere, cool bathrooms, clean restaurant, awesome dessert, what more can I ask for? Definitely coming back here soon! ~ Daniel A
Came on a busy Saturday morning and we were immediately greeted, taken to our table, and was serviced right away. The staff here was very nice and attended to our dirty plates and drink refills quickly. For a buffet, I usually don't expect much and my expectations were low. However, I was genuinely impressed. They were constantly refilling the crab, crawfish and lobster dishes. They have dim sum, a hibachi station, and a noodle soup station along with your traditional hot foods and sushi. For dessert, they have your typical desserts plus cakes and cotton candy. No ice cream machine but they serve popsicles and cup ice cream you can grab at your own leisure. The restaurant itself is pretty big, I didn't feel like I was sitting too close to others compared to how I feel when I go to other buffets. I would recommend checking this place out if you're ever in the area and are in the mood for a good chinese buffet! ~ Christy N
Decided to go there with my family to see all the hype and I can definitely see why its getting so much attention. They have a large selection of different kinds of food such as seafood and bbq short ribs. They have sushi as well which was fresh and refilled pretty quick even with the high demand. The stone crab and snow crab legs were also very popular and the staff did try their best to refill it as fast as possible. The crab legs were fresh and taste really good as they give you butter and lemon on the side. I was personally a huge fan of their authentic Chinese dishes especially their mappo tofu and ginger and scallions lobster. Not a lot of buffets serve authentic Chinese food and being Chinese myself I can validate that these dishes were really good and you can tell it’s a Chinese chef cooking them. The food was overall fresh and had a variety of desserts such as cheesecakes and fresh fruits as well which is good for those with a sweet tooth. ~ Daniel S
Been here twice now, and as buffets go, this is one of the best ones. Their dim sum-type stuff (sticky rice, shumai) was pretty good. Sashimi was goodp(salmon, tuna, maybe a couple other varieties), but it was fresh, as were the crab legs and shrimp cocktail. The duck was excellent. The walnut (mayonnaise) shrimp is excellent as well. There's a Mongolian grill station, but the options are very limited; no one really went there. I imagine that'll be the first thing to go. I do wish they had more vegetable options! For what you get, I think it's quite good. ~ Thinh T
I have been to this buffet several times. This is one of the best buffets, l've been to and always look forward to dining here. It's a bit pricey but it's worth it. The only negative, is that I can't eat as much as I want due to my limited stomach capacity :-) The quality of food here is much better than other buffets. Really, I don't think l've had any bad dishes here. Some of my favorites. The lobsters The sushi - all fresh and delicious The made to order hibachi Again, every dish is delicious. Service is very good Highly recommended. ~ Taylor D
This place has been all over social media so I had to give it a try! First and foremost I see a lot of people complaining about the line for lobster and pecking duck but if you saw how it was before, you would be happy they have this line! People used to just grab half the tray and leave none for anybody! With this new system I feel like its more fair because they do this at other buffets as well. The seafood is definitely worth the wait though! The stone crabs tasted really good with some salt pepper and lime! I ate the snow crabs and sushi for the most part and I will say that this place rivals a lot of other buffets just on the sushi alone. It was fresh and didnt have that weird fishy taste that you find at other buffets. The servers were also very kind and attentive! I wouldnt listen to any of the negative reviews because they just dont understand how their system benefits everyone and creates a fair chance to dine and enjoy the food! ~ Lynn
I came with my boyfriend and we loved it! The food was so delicious and they had so much variety. From seafood, traditional chinese food, picky eater foods, sushi, hibachi, desserts and fruit. The service was really good too. There wasn’t any cheesecake when I tried getting some, so I told the lovely manager about it and she personally got their employee, Q, to get me a slice. Q was so nice and even gave us lore about the restaurant. She ensured us that the lobster was fresh and reassured me that the price is worth it here. 10/10 would come again definitely. ~ Elizabeth
It was a fun and delicious experience! I especially loved being able to enjoy plenty of fresh crab. All of the seafood dishes, as well as the sushi and sashimi, were excellent. Buffet food can sometimes be overly salty, but the flavors here were well-balanced and not too strong, which I really appreciated. The restaurant itself is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. I was also lucky enough to roll the dice successfully, so one person in our group got to eat for free! All of the staff were very friendly as well. Highly recommended! ~ Juhyun K
My first experience here was on Wednesday night for dinner. It was so awesome that I had to come back on Friday for lunch with my coworkers. I really don't understand what there is to complain about, except maybe the odd location, but there is a free parking lot and it's relatively close to the highway, so whatever. For an Asian buffet this place is really clean, spacious, and modern. Love the lounge chairs. The sushi selection was awesome; there are many different rolls NOT overstuffed with rice. ~ Sandra V
I was impressed by the food selection and how clean everything is. Also, there wasn’t a “food” smell that can happen at buffet style restaurants. There was something there for everyone’s palette but if you’re into seafood- this is for you! Seafood was all fresh and the meats were tender. Today they had a thanksgiving special and it came with additional dishes such as turkey and more! They were really nice and they are still in their soft opening phase but so far im satisfied! Everything was delicious so be sure to come hungry! ~ Jiminh
A fantastic new all-you-can-eat buffet has opened up in town! The variety here is massive—you can find everything from fresh sushi and classic Chinese dishes to a dedicated Mongolian grill, a BBQ grill, and tasty dim sum. The dessert bar, complete with a fondue fountain, is the perfect finish. The food quality is good, and the price is excellent for everything they offer. With a nice atmosphere and great service, this is definitely the place to go if you want to stuff your face with tons of delicious food! Highly recommend. ~ Hoang L
Today was a girls' day for my mini me and I. We wanted Asian cuisine, but also wanted to try out a new to us place. We totally loved Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon!! The staff were warm and friendly. The decor and vibes were bright and cheerful. Everything we tasted was well flavored and hot. There are plenty of choices for everyone's individual palette. Our favorites were the beef on the skewers, the gyoza, and siopao. There's even a dice game you can play to win one or two meals free. ~ WS
Love how attentive and servers are here. There is a great variety of fresh food regardless of if you come for lunch or dinner. They now also have a Thanksgiving option which I find is an interesting concept. This place is fantastic. Lots of interesting, Fresh, tasty dishes. Lots of staples and lots of top end dishes or stuff you haven't seen if your not too much a foodie. Lunch is a real deal but dinner is good if you enjoy what they offer then like crab legs. ~ Minh T
I’d been seeing this place all over social media, and once I found out they had seafood, I knew I had to try it. There was about a 15-minute wait when we arrived, but it didn’t feel long at all because they have a comfortable waiting area. The restaurant itself is really cute and well put together. Once we were seated, our server was amazing, super attentive and always making sure our drinks stayed full. Great first impression overall! ~ Jerre
